"Jesus our Leader and Teacher" is a Sunday night youth group for anyone who is in Junior High or High school. J.O.L.T. is a great way to meet new friends to grow in the Christian faith while in a cool, yet safe environment.
There are so many events that we are constantly involved in; so come check us out! J.O.L.T. meets in the High School room at the church, which allows us to have the entire top floor to ourselves! We meet at 5:30 - 7:30 PM each Sunday, so come join us each week for a chance to hang out with friends and learn what God has planned for you!!!
Please check out our J.O.L.T. Facebook page and add us as your friend so you can see all of the events we are doing!! There is so much potential within our youth, it's about to burst! We do things each week in a semi-scheduled way. There are times however where we can get a little off track and just have some awesome unscheduled fun!
The purpose of J.O.L.T. is to love God, Love Others, and Spread the Gospel and with saying that, each week we try to incorporate one of those things into our youth group time. Each week is different to enable the youth to find ways to Love God, Love Others, and Spread the Gospel on their own and to learn how to make that a part of their lives.
First Sundays - This Sunday is dedicated as our "Group Bible Study" Sunday. We spend time talking about the Bible, and diving into some lessons that really test our inner selves. This is a week where we would talk about what it means to be a Christian, a youth, or what a certain story of the Bible means to us, or how we can apply it in our lives.
Second Sundays - During our second Sunday of each month, we dedicate this night as a "Serving Others" night. We integrate the fundraisers and service projects that we are currently involved with, into this week each month. We have done everything from raking leaves or plowing snow, to spending time with the elderly. This is a great time to really use the skills that God gave each and every one of us to further benefit the Kingdom of God! We are always looking for more cool ideas to better our community, and we would love for you to be a part of it!
Third Sundays - During the third Sunday of the month, we consider this as our "Worship Night," where we sing praises to God. We believe that worshiping God is one of the best ways to glorify HIM and HIS awesome and wonderful power. We are starting up a Praise Band, and we will be singing contemporary songs up on stage to those who come and join us for a wonderful worship session. Afterwards, we will be breaking up into small groups and going through life situations, and certain scenarios on how to reach out and talk to others about the good news of Jesus Christ. 6th Graders are invited to join us!
Fourth Sundays - This is a night for FUN! We always place the fourth Sunday of each month as our week to just come here and fellowship with everyone that joins us. Food, pop, games, music, what's not to enjoy! Come join us, and bring a first time friend here! It's a great way to meet new people and integrate into our family! Can't wait to see you!
Our Conferences
CIY - Christ In Youth -
MOVE is a 5-day high school only event held all over the country, designed to amplify the call of Christ on student lives to become Kingdom workers for the sake of the Gospel. We are located at college campuses across the nation. We provide the lights, the sound, and the speakers. All you need to do is fill a seat. Here’s what to expect:
- Truth. Fresh, engaging, and energizing biblical messages.
- How do you worship God? Students will connect through song, art, film, and service.
- Hours of free time throughout the day to chase a Frisbee, win a dodge ball tournament, go white water rafting, or take a nap (you’ll need one when this week is over).
- An event that is not a one-shot, emotional roller coaster.
- MOVE launched the first Kingdom worker website, www.WeAmplify.com to help students realize that they are not alone.
- MOVE is the premier high school event. God is leading…are you following?

Fundraisers - The current fundraisers will be up here, listing what they are, what they hope to accomplish, and how YOU can help! Our Youth Group attends retreats and leaves for conferences like Dare2Share and CIY. Helping us fund this is a much needed and much appreciated act of kindness that you can share with the youth!
Service Projects - The current Service Projects will be up here too, in order to let you be aware of what we are accomplishing here at GFCC JOLT! There might even be opportunities that we will ask for service projects that you could ask help on. We will keep you updated!
